Curriculum

Our top priority at Small Wonders is to provide a safe and stimulating environment in which children can feel happy and secure. We also strive to: encourage the emotional, social, physical, creative and intellectual development of children, promote the welfare of children, encourage positive attitudes to self and others, develop confidence and self-esteem, create opportunities for play, encourage children to explore, appreciate and respect their environment, provide opportunities to stimulate interest and imagination and extend children’s abilities to communicate ideas and feelings in a variety of ways..  To that end, the daily schedule consists of age-appropriate, timely movement through different experiences that include:

  • Learning Centers (ie. STEM, DRAMATIC PLAY, FINE MOTOR, MANIPULATIVES, MUSIC AND MOVEMENT)

  • Circle Time

  • Indoor and Outdoor Play

  • Art

  • Story Time

  • Meal and Snack Time

  • Rest Time

In addition, every child will be assessed every six months or as needed. Small Wonders uses Brigance for early childhood assessments, which is a series of short questions covering developmental stages such as Communication, Gross Motor, Fine Motor, and Problem Solving. Our

curriculum is developed to meet your child's social, cognitive, language, emotional and physical needs. We look forward to serving you and your family!
